Holiday Club RSPB Day

Holiday Club had a very special visitor come in over half term; Rosalin, who volunteers for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

Whilst here, the children engaged in bird spotting activities using the binoculars, searching the garden for different types of birds. They also listened carefully to the difference between sounds that each type of bird makes. They took part in bug hunts around our garden, using magnifying glasses and tubs to spot the bugs! The children also laid white fabric down under trees and shook them to see what bugs and insects may live in the trees. They learnt about the life cycle of birds and insects and watched a small video on different animals habitats.
