Happy Halloween 🎃
We had lots of fun celebrating Halloween and saw some amazing costumes. The children really enjoyed themselves taking part in some exciting, messy play activities such as pumpkin carving, dancing, baking and much more.
Baby Bears helped with pumpkin carving and using the slimy centre for sensory play. They also had lots of fun Halloween dancing and creating a spooky collage. Bear Cubs had lots of fun taking part in pumpkin sensory play along with pumpkin carving. The children loved baking their own pizza mummies too. Little Bears loved joining in with their Halloween disco, lighting the room with their glow sticks. They also decorated their pumpkin trick or treat bags. Pre-school took a trip to visit Wallfield House and Derby Heights Residential Home, to show the residents their spooky costumes and took part in Halloween craft with them. Whilst there, they enjoyed eating Halloween cake and received some goodies from the residents. They also enjoyed pumpkin carving and tried roasted pumpkin seeds.
