For World Book Week we invited children and staff to come to nursery dressed as their favourite book character. However, this year we expanded the event and spent the whole week celebrating books and stories.

This week some of our Big Bears children have been taking part in ‘Find Your Brave’, to coincide with Children’s Mental Health Week.

Here at The Old Forge we are passionate about our children’s diets 🍽, and how much we believe in giving them the best start to the day from the moment they arrive till the moment they leave 😀

This year, Burns Night 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and Chinese New Year 🧧 have both landed on the 25th Jan.

Over the Christmas period, the children have all engaged in Christmas activities. Bear Cubs and Little Bears have also held their own Christmas Workshop for their parents, along with Pre-school taking part in their annual Christmas Nativity play.

On Friday 6th December children and staff unleashed their inner Elf and dressed up as Elves for the day to help raise awareness for Dementia. The event was an initiative by the Alzheimers Society to raise funds and awareness.

We are incredibly proud to have been nominated as a finalist for the ‘Working with Babies and Toddlers’ category for our Baby Room Project in The Nursery World Awards 2019 and were very privileged to attend the awards ceremony in London. 🌟
