Training

Training is incredibly important to us. We provide training to enhance our service, care and education we provide to our children and families. We understand that every child is unique and that we provide inspiration and influence them to develop and grow. We hold in-house training for our members of staff regularly to ensure we keep up-to-date with the latest changes in childcare legislation, styles and trends that may directly effect our nursery environment.

We have our in-house training coordinator Georgia Gibson.

Forest School Training

We have Rachael Emery our Qualified Forest School Coordinator. Forest School is a stimulating learning experience. It allows all children to test themselves, build self-esteem and pride, develop new skills and learn the art of reflection. All staff are qualified to level 1 training in order to ensure that all children experience Forest School learning.

Baby Room Project Training

Here, at the Old Forge, our practitioners receive regular ‘Baby Project’ training and apply the methods and theories in their everyday practice. The Baby Room Project is a fun, sustainable and an exciting project that enlightens practitioners and parents about their baby’s brain development in order to raise the quality of babies experiences.  We are also currently piloting a ‘Baby Project Group’ aimed at parents with babies, so that we can share our in-depth knowledge and experiences. Please contact us for more information.
